European Clubs neste symposium finner sted i Innsbruck, Østerrike fra 22.-23. september 2010. Den østerrikske damkomiteen (ATCOLD) skriver følgende i sin invitasjon: ”During the last decade significant changes in personal resources for design, construction, and operation of dams have occurred in Europe – not only for economic reasons (liberalized electric market, very often resulting in reduction of staff), but also due to rapid developments in the field of automation and remote control. In order to master the challenges of the future – e.g. arising from climate change – and to meet the demands for renewable energy, design and construction of new dams will become an increasingly important issue, whereas existing dams must be operated, maintained, and upgraded by competent personnel as much as it has been so far. Topics of the symposium:
-Public awareness of Dams and Dam Safety
-Transfer of Know How
-The Role of Dam Owners
-The Role of Universities
-The Role of Authorities
-Methods and Practice of Education and Training
-Safety Philosophies
-Engineering Judgement versus Regulations and Guidelines
-Organizational Aspects, Personal Management -Risk Management
-Surveillance and Maintenance Practice -Remote Control (Operations in REC Rooms)
-Rehabilitation and Upgrading -Research Activities” Viktige datoer:
